Mr Evill Jr (9:43:47 PM) : my teacher was talking about moments in life when you want something to happen

Even though there is no profession to be gained from Marching Band (aside from musicianship and becoming a teacher), being involved with band has taught me so many life lessons to be utilized in life. It has been 4 years since I entered the walls of Hughes Middle School. At first, I didn't know what I have gotten myself into. After all, I was only in Marching Band to avoid taking regular PE (in which, in a way, that has succeeded. I have never taken regular PE in high school.) But everything that I have gained through 'band camp', and my musical life in general has made me a better person than I was before, although to my closest friends, that is hard to believe. So many philosophies learned; so many disciplines gained; so much music played; so much sweat poured, but in the end, it is all worth it on the path of becoming a better human being.
Thank you band camp =] And being section leader now doesn't hurt either.
